Clickers

From our conversations in Houston at the NLII spring focus session...some universities are using clickers to poll their students in a face-to-face class. Seems to be especially useful in large classes to promote interaction. I do not know if any UCF faculty are currently using clickers.

Blogging in the news

This could really be a hot topic. Check out this article. A student is using a blog to ridicule and harrass other students and faculty. Since it is posted anonymously, the university is trying to get Time Warner to disclose the identity of the student.

I believe this is a university-wide problem. Blogs set up by the faculty might not run into this situation.

Here's an article on Arianna Huffington, the blog's creator. http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/features/3174167
